"Horton Hears a Who"

Materials You Will Need:
-Elephant Ear template (it can be found HERE)
-Crayons, Markers, or Colored Pencils
-Scissors
-Construction Paper (to go around the child's head)
-Tape or Stapler (to hold ears onto construction paper)

For the lesson from this book I printed out a template of elephant ears off of http://www.seussville.com/ for each child. The children colored the ears and then I taped the ears onto a Buger King crown that I had modified by cutting off the crown's tips. the instructions called to make a band out of folded construction paper and stapling the ears. I felt that, that would be too complicated. my way was a successful shortcut, that was a little bit sturdier.

I took the picture of the book "The Shape of Me and Other Stuff" from Google Images. I used a link to a website and pictures as my technologies for this post.
